  • Lighthouse Field - Across the street from the surfing museum on West Cliff.

  • Wilder RanchThe park is north of Santa Cruz, immediately west of Highway One, approximately 1.8 miles past the Western Drive stoplight.

  • Pogonip Overlook - Flying from the dirt turnout off of Coolidge Drive, it overlooks Pogonip Park and the rest of surrounding bay.
  • Depot Park - Almost always busy - check the parking lot for cars/people. It's a fun little spot if you can find it at a quiet time of day.
  • Schwan Lagoon - Twin Lakes - Off of East Cliff, trail access and parking is behind the family swim center.
  • Corcoran Lagoon - Santa Cruz - Neat little beach off of East Cliff Drive - Not as busy as some of the other local beaches, especially during the winter.
  • Concrete Boat - Sea Cliff - Another busy spot - Great in the early mornings and off seasons @ sunset.
  • UCSC West Remote Lot - Located through the fence & down the hill from the west remote parking lot @ UCSC. Overlooking the bay. Few low to the ground obstacles.
  • UCSC East Remote Lot  - Up a hill from the east remote parking lot at UCSC. This spot is in a open field overlooking the Monterey Bay.
  • 'UCSC High Street Park'  -  Not sure what to call this place. It's a little park situated on a hill that is fenced off(but publicly accessible). Tons of trees, lots of low hanging branches - fun!

Make sure to check Know Before You Fly for the nitty-gritty on what you should know before take-off.  Thankfully the Santa Cruz area has no airports and many locations that allow RC/Multirotors/'Drones'.
